The London Cardiovascular Society has been in existence for more than 30 years. At its birth it was the London Hypertension Society but following wide consultation it was agreed to update its name to reflect the broader cardiovascular role that it plays. Although it historically has the location of London within its name, it is in fact a national society with members from across the UK.
The Society meets regularly over the year at the Medical Society of London premises in Central London. Talks by its members are given at each meeting and all members are encouraged to attend. The meeting is preceded by tea and concludes with a small dinner.
There is no cost to membership, but members may be asked to present at one of our meetings. Membership currently consists of clinicians and non-clinicians at all levels, from Professors, registrars, post-doctoral students as well as PhD students. New members are always welcome. Please contact:…..
The Society has its own journal, JRSM Cardiovascular Disease, in partnership with SAGE publications. The journal is Open Access and submissions are encouraged from members and non-members alike.
